Though he doesn't know what that true name actually is, he has no recollection of where he even came from. Even his nameday is just a chosen date that felt right as he has no recollection of anything aside from waking up in Limsa Lominsa and being addressed by a fisher who noticed he looked lost.He has traveled all across Eorzea doing random acts and tasks as an adventurer in hopes that something would jog his memory. Nothing has worked - so far. Though the travels have given him quite the knowledge repository for all things black, white, red, and blue magic. He's mainly a master at the art of black magic but he knows a thing or two about the rest!Though during those travels, a strange figure came to him and offered him a letter. That letter stated his past was not forgotten and there are those with knowledge of it. Specifically, M. R. Rhotano knows and will provide it for a price.Desperate, Salem agreed to work at Rhotano's new museum being built out of the husk of a burned-out mansion. Now he works as an analyst for the pieces that come in and a researcher of magic that could help Rhotano in their ventures.He isn't sure when Rhotano will consider the price paid but he will continue to pay it until he knows what he wants.
